On Friday, April 19th, an unmistakably tropical vibe will come to Bellaire when The Alumni & Friends of Bellaire High School hosts “Havana Nights,” the organization’s 30th annual fundraiser. As they enter the Bellaire Civic Center, guests will be transported to the decadent, sun-soaked Havana of the first half of the twentieth century. Funds raised from this event will be used towards student scholarships, teacher grants, and school improvements at Bellaire High School
Space is limited at this event, and tickets may be purchased online for $75/person in advance.
Sponsors at the date of this release include Prosperity Bank, Cason Graye/Alair Homes, Lettie Harrell/LH2 Architecture, and Mike Weston (Class of ’98). Table sponsorships range from $1,000-$2,000 and include a table of 6 at the event in addition to recognition on all event-related materials proportionate to giving level. The event committee is currently seeking additional sponsors seeking to support this wonderful cause as well as donations of items to be included in the online auction and event raffle. Interested sponsors and donors may fill out the event donor form online at: https://form.jotform.com/233037762960055 by March 20th for recognition.
Javier Eilments will have the dance floor lively with pulsing Latin tunes as well as popular favorites of generations of Bellaire grads. The event is chaired by Rebecca Phillips and committee members include: Leslie Crossman, Kristi Coffey, Sarah Suminski, Paige Henderson, Nancy Kahlden, Abbie Chuo, Peggy Rutledge, Linda Kocher, and Sharon Sudbury.
