The AP Gold Honor Roll is an award given to schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to providing students with access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses and fostering academic success. To qualify for this recognition, schools must meet specific criteria.
Gold status on the AP School Honor Roll means that Bellaire excels in three key areas:
- College Culture: Increased AP participation, fostering a strong college-going environment.
- College Credit: A high percentage of students score 3 or higher on AP exams, helping them earn college credit.
- College Optimization: Students take an optimal number of AP exams (up to 5), boosting college success without overwhelming them.
Being named to the AP Gold Honor Roll means that Bellaire is excelling in both expanding opportunities for students and supporting them to succeed in rigorous academic programs. We are #CardinalProud
The Alumni and Friends of Bellaire High School (AFBHS) is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization formed in 1993. The organization is composed of non-paid volunteers gathered to help maintain the national standards for which Bellaire High School is known. These volunteers contribute their time, energy and support to the organization.
AFBHS is supported primarily by raising funds from alumni, friends and community businesses. Our goals are to raise money for student scholarships, teacher grants, and school improvements. We strive to provide four (4) $2,500.00 scholarships to graduating seniors each year.
Your support, involvement and contributions enable us to create wonderful opportunities for the school, its students and staff. Please consider a tax deductible donation to AFBHS. Additionally, our annual social events are another avenue to participate in our fundraising efforts. If unable to donate at this time or participate in our events, we are always in need of volunteers to help us achieve our mission. Your support is always appreciated whether monetary or other.
